MARCH

We had the best time in Arizona, went to sixteen ballgames, attended the Easter Pageant at the Mesa Temple and went to a session at the Gilbert Temple.  It was perfect, hot hot hot!  The area was beautiful and everything was close to the RV park. This was the last game we attended, can't believe a month has gone by...

Just outside the park were two little owls that blended in with the fields.  Hot and dusty, but they were there nearly everyday

I took a picture of all the logos but this is the only one I could pull up, could be worse, we like the Padres

I love the way the pros look when they are at bat!  Looks like he knows what he is doing.  This was a sad game because we were headed home the next day

We drove through a lot of nothing and then, BAM, there was Lake Mead!

We drove as far as Mesquite before stopping for the night.  Had the prime rib dinner and then headed for the campground. Packed!  And I mean the campground was nearly full.  We got one of the last spots!  It was heading into the Easter weekend and I guess everyone decided to get an early start.  The cactus were all in bloom and there were all varieties and colors.

What's a trip into the desert without a lizard?!

It doesn't look very crowded but all the other rigs are to my right.  I really like this Joshua tree that was in our spot

These orange flowering bushes were everywhere.

Hum, these look kinda like the cactus that made it to Utah?!

We stayed here for two nights and then started toward home.  Sad that we couldn't stay for another month.  But onward toward Glade's and dinner and then to the RV station to start cleaning up.  We had a few minor accidents on our trip...the awning was ruined in a rainstorm, the closet pole kinda bent in half with all the weight, but these were not too serious and we survived another trip.  Can't wait til the next one!

MARCH MADNESS MLB STYLE

Yay!  Here we are on opening day of Spring Training in Arizona!  Mr. Redlegs is one of the Reds mascots

The National Anthem was very impressive, with military and a giant flag

One of our favorites teams!!!

We went to 16 ballgames this year!!!  Goodyear Ballpark was about four miles from the RV park so that's where we saw fifteen of the sixteen games.  The Reds and the Indians are the two home teams here so we saw them a lot!

Yup, if you said Mike Trout, you are correct.  He was a SL Bee and now an Anaheim Angel!  One of the best players in the MLB.

This is Jim the Mayor's golf cart! All decorated for St. Patricks Day!  Yes, those are bicycles with stick ponies attached in front.  There is a parade on the 17th with him in the lead.  He changes out the decorations for Easter and Christmas, bunnies pulling for Easter and reindeer in December.

Hmmm, wonder what day it was when we attended this game?  The Mariners and the White Sox wore green ball caps and the crowd wore more green than even the Irish citizens!

Ah, home away from home!

The "Beer Guy", what a character!  He works nearly every game through March and has several part time jobs in the off season.  More of our month in Arizona to follow...

HAPPY VALENTIMES

Happy Valentine's Day, Bill made this card all by himself!  He told me he had an early morning dream about making a card using Jell-O.  This was on the fifteenth so I figured I had lost a day!  If you could smell it, it would smell like raspberries!  I loved it!

We decided not to fight the crowds and have dinner at home.  Crab legs and crab legs and for dessert, crab legs!

We love crab legs.  We always seem to overeat when it comes to crab legs!
We had a great day and are looking forward to having crab sometime soon!

HARRISON"S VISIT

Harrison came over for a visit, what a sweetheart he is and  everyone's favorite!!!

He and Grandpa had some heavy discussions about fishing and camping

I have a bird feeder just outside the window that all the grandkids love.  The birds think
 it"s okay, too.

Harrison is ticklish everywhere but loves it when his mom gets his tummy and he laughs out loud!

He loves to stand but not to sit.  We tried the little rocker to see if it would help,  he really didn't sit very still but we all had fun watching him.

This is one of those rare moments when he had his hearing aids in and wasn't messing with them.  He can hear most sounds without them but the specialists insist he use them so he will hear all the soft sounds too.  I think I need to borrow them.

Finally got a good picture!  He is so dang cute and very lovable. Come back soon baby Harry!
